Free Your Mind:
THE ULTIMATE ESCAPE ROOM
Students will conceive and create an innovative escape room experience.
The thematic foundation of each room is the overcoming of implicit bias.
Constructing the rooms will incorporate design thinking and electric circuits.

MATHS/PHYSICS
Dr. Cate Challen Internal and external forces affect our thinking and create biases. True innovators are able to remove these biases and solve problems in creative ways to provide technological solutions and advance knowledge of humankind. |
HUMANITIES
Michelle Clark Our limited vision of what’s possible keeps us trapped in habitual ways of thinking - “psychic prisons”. These dysfunctional myths and stories help control our fear and anxiety, however they limit us from fully experiencing the beauty and complexity of life. Once made aware of our implicit bias, we have the power to escape our own thought confinement and enjoy true freedom. |
ENGINEERING
Mike Amarillas / Alicyn Henkhaus To create a meaningful experience from beginning to end, we must work with the participant in the front of our minds. We must understand the human element. Through the design thinking process we can focus our creativity into a new regime of human-centered possibilities. |
